A 55 year-old male with know history of borderline leprosy is not showing significant improvement while on therapy.
The reason for an apparent resistance to treatment was not clear.
Dr. Moschella asked for biopsy was taken to assess the microbial load and to evaluate morphology of bacilli.
Do you know why?
