Dr. Claudia Vidal Conference Page

    Claudia I. Vidal, M.D., Ph.D. is a dermatopathologist at Saint Louis University. She was born and raised in El Paso, Texas where most of her family still resides. She achieved her M.D., Ph.D. from the University of Texas Medical School - Houston and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She then completed a clinical internship in obstetrics and gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania followed by residency in anatomic pathology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Fellowship in dermatopathology was accomplished at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2009. Following fellowship, she knew she wanted to be in academics so that she could teach trainees and be exposed to a wide range of cases. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology where she also serves as serve the Director of the Histology Laboratory and holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Pathology. She enjoys her time with trainees at all levels of education and is the Associate Director for the Dermatopathology Fellowship Program. She serves on multiple committees for the school of medicine. She is also involved in dermatopathology on a national level through the American Society of Dermatopathology and has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals.

    She lives in a Clayton, a suburb of Saint Louis, with her husband and 5 year old daughter.
