Clinical Features:
- Commonly presents on the face of middle-aged individuals, with a predilection for the nose
- Small skin-colored papule
Histologic Features:
- Slightly raised
- Well-circumscribed upper dermal lesion composed of collagenous stroma with increased vascularity and scattered spindled and/or mutinucleated cells
- Variants with granular or clear cell change exist.
- The epidermis is normal to slightly atrophic.
- The lesional cells stain for factor XIIIA and sometimes CD34. They are negative for S-100.
