Clinical Features:

• Pustulofollicular alopecia presenting as patches of alopecia with follicular pustules at the advancing edge

Histologic Features:

• Early lesions show intra- and perifollicular neutrophilic infiltrates.
• Localized perfollicular dermal abscesses are often present.
• As the disease progesses, there is rupture of hair follicles with destruction of the follicles and perifollicular fibrosis.
• Late lesions show a mixed infiltrate comprised of lymphocytes, plasma cells and neutrophils.
