Chronic granulomatous disease:
Clinical Features:
- Group of immune deficiency diseases caused by defects in the neutrophilic oxidative burst
- Most commonly X-linked recessive
Histologic Features:
- When cutaneous granulomas are present in chronic granulomatous disease, they may or may not show caseation.
- Granulomas may not be linked to an identifiable trigger, or may secondary to an infectious agent or foreign bodies.
