Clinical Features:
- Disorder of unknown etiology affecting patients on renal dialysis
- There is thickening and induration of the skin, most often on the trunk and limbs.
Histologic Features:
- Thickened dermis
- The collagen bundles are arranged haphazardly throughout the dermis and subcutaneous septa.
- Increased fibroblasts
- Increased dermal mucin
- Scattered multinucleated histiocytes spread throughout the dermis
