Accreditation The University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Colorado School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 8.5 AMA PRA Category I Credits TM. Histopathology and Cytopathology, Autopsy theory and will include mock
exams and vivas to prepare for the FRCPath examination.
The course will comprise short lectures, each followed by microscope sessions.
It will take the form of a series of system-based modules with an emphasis on
areas of diagnostic difficulty and common errors.

This is a two-week comprehensive course which will cover all aspects of Histopathology and Cytopathology, Autopsy theory and will include mock exams and vivas to prepare for the FRCPath examination. The course will comprise short lectures, each followed by microscope sessions.
Recent years have produced exponential growth in new techniques to supplement the morphologic evaluation of cytologic specimens. At this new course, general pathologists, cytopathologists, and cytotechnologists will hear from distinguished faculty, many of whom were instrumental in the creation of the 2008 Bethesda System for reporting thyroid cytopathology. Discussion will focus on major areas in diagnostic cytopathology, including the Bethesda System and the latest revisions regarding reporting gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology.
