The BSDS Annual Workshop is a long established training course in skin surgery. Teaching is by members of the BSDS in hands-on practical sessions attended by faculty members giving one to one tuition in skin surgery skills, sandwiched around a series of lectures covering a skin surgery body of knowledge.
For the first time we will be able to offer nail biopsy tuition on cadaver material, undertaken by all candidates who wish to. There will be the latest information on suture, cryosurgery and cautery equipment and techniques. Pre-registration materials including sample videos will ensure that you are well informed to start the course at the right level.
The course is always fully subscribed and early application is recommended.
The Annual Workshop is aimed primarily at dermatologists, including trainees, NCCGs and consultants. For established clinicians it is an excellent opportunity to update your expertise on a wide range of techniques and materials in surgery. Colleagues from other disciplines with an interest and clinical commitment to skin surgery are also welcomed.
The next workshop will be held at Bristol University. The workshop registration fee is £750.
Please note that delegates are responsible for their own accommodation. The registration fee is not inclusive of accommodation.
The course organisers are Dr David de Berker and Sophie Thompson.
