Dear Trainees,
We would like to invite Specialist Trainees in Dermatology and Histopathology to the 3rd British Society for Dermatopathology (BSD) Annual Trainees' Workshop on Friday 7th January 2011, Birmingham.
This year themes will include Melanocytic lesions and Inflammatory dermatoses. The day comprises an interactive format, viewing histology cases on microscopes, supervised by dermatopathologists, followed by case-based teaching from national experts. Cases will be of varying difficulty from beginner to expert level, although even beginners will maximise the educational value of attending if they make a prior attempt to see dermatopathology cases under the microscope with their local histopathologists.
The meeting will commence at 9.30am, the venue is the School of Biomedical Sciences teaching laboratory, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2TT (full details to follow later).
Places are strictly limited to 40, allocated by first applications received with payment. Successful applicants will be notified by email that they have secured a place.
The cost is only £20.00 for BSD members and £50.00 for non-BSD members, payable by cheque to the "British Society for Dermatopathology". Anyone applying for BSD membership (£15 per annum) can avail of the reduced registration rate for the meeting. BSD Membership forms are downloadable from the BSD website - see http://www.britsocdermpath.co.uk/company.htm - and can be brought on the day.
We look to seeing you on the day,
Dr Maureen Walsh (President, BSD), Dr Saleem Taibjee and Dr Richard Carr (local organisers)
