Forensic Toxicology

This one day course is aimed at HM Coroners, HM Coroner's Officers, Pathologists, Solicitors, Police Scientific Support Managers, Forensic Submission Staff and Police Officers who are interested or involved in casework that may have a toxicological aspect, eg drug facilitated sexual assaults (DFSA). The content will suit those with a non-scientific or scientific background.

The course is provided by our team of Consultant Forensic Toxicologists, each with many years operational experience, led by Dr Simon Elliott, Managing Director of ROAR Forensics, with fourteen years in clinical and forensic toxicology. It is based on a mixture of factual and practical information coupled with case experience and provides a wide range of topics. There is also an interactive workshop of worked examples of the use and interpretation of toxicology in case investigations.

It is a full day lecture-based course reinforced by a tour of the working laboratory environment. By the end of the course, delegates will have a better understanding of toxicology, its potential role and significance in a case, as well as the necessary requirements to ensure an effective outcome for casework. Delegates will receive our Forensic Toxicology Handbook free of charge for their future reference (additional copies at £38.50). Course topics include:¬
