Scientific Programme
Building on its reputation as a high quality Internationally renowned event, the BAD is delighted to announce the Annual Meeting for 2011. The annual meeting committee has again worked hard to provide a blend of new scientific presentations with updates from experts in various fields. Following delegate feedback we will be continuing with the 3 day meeting schedule.
We are pleased to announce that the Arthur Rook Oration will be delivered by Professor Luis Diaz from North Carolina, USA presenting on Immunobullous Disease. Professor John McGrath from London will give the first guest lecture on Tuesday presenting ' New discoveries and treatments for patients with inherited skin diseases'. He will be followed later on Tuesday afternoon by Professor Sam Leinster, of the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital who will be discussing Problem based Learning. Wednesday's programme features Prof Hensin Tsao of Massachusetts, USA who will be delivering a talk on Melanoma & Genetics. The final guest lecture will come from Professor Niall Dickson, Chief Executive of the GMC during the CPD session on Thursday afternoon talking on 'Revalidation'.
We will continue with the poster viewing session before the AGM on the Wednesday morning. We have Satellite Symposia on two days and a return to the focus sessions on Wednesday lunchtime, featuring the three topics: Clinical Services, Surgery and Medical Therapeutics.
Medical Dermatology features strongly in the programme with a dedicated session on Wednesday afternoon. Professors Vincent Piguet, Celia Moss and Nick Reynolds will be presenting at the Professors and Registrars plenary forum on Thursday morning, with the popular CPD session continuing in the Thursday afternoon slot.
