DERMATOPATHOLOGY UPDATE WITH MINISYMPOSIUMS ON EPIDERMAL AND DERMALTUMORS, INFLAMMATORY DERMATOSES, AND MELANOCYTIC LESIONS; AND "HANDS-ON" SLIDE SEMINARSON "MIMICRY IN MELANOCYTIC LESIONS"
The Departments of Pathology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School will present a postgraduate course under the direction of Lyn M. Duncan, MD, Mai Hoang, MD, Martin C. Mihm, Jr. MD, FACP, George F. Murphy,MD and Steven R. Tahan, MD with faculty as listed below.This is a very intensive course aimed at practicing pathologists,dermatopathologists, and dermatologists. Its goal is to provide an in-depth review and update on selected topics in dermatopathology.This year's course will feature Minisymposiums on Epidermal and Dermal Tumors, Inflammatory Dermatoses, and Melanocytic Lesions and a "Hands On" Slide Seminars on "Mimicry in Melanocytic Lesions". In addition, a library of interesting cases will be available for the students to review independently at the microscopes throughout the course. The participants will have the rare opportunity to attend a clinicopathological exercise that will be published as a CPC in the Case Records of the Massachusetts General Hospital section of the New England Journal of Medicine. Each participant will receive a comprehensive course syllabus, book, and CD, discussing cases presented at the Slide Seminar. September is the best time of year to visit New England and the hotel is centrally located in a very pleasant area of downtown Boston close to many attractions.
