EAPR Pathology Section meeting 2010
The 2010 European Association for Potato Research Pathology Section meeting will be held in
Carlow, Ireland in September 2010. The meeting, jointly hosted by Teagasc and the Agri-
Food and Biosciences Institute (Belfast), will be located at the Seven Oaks Hotel located close
to Carlow Town centre.
This three day meeting will deal with all aspects of potato pathology with a special emphasis
on new threats to potato posed by changes in the behaviour of existing pests and pathogens
as well by new species. The meeting will also include an excursion to the Teagasc Crops
Research Centre on the outskirts of Carlow town, home of the Teagasc potato breeding
programme, followed by tour of the newly established VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art
located close to the meeting venue.
Participants are invited to submit abstracts (see Guidelines for format) indicating preference
for poster or paper presentation. Abstracts of those selected will be published in Potato
Research.
Non-EAPR delegates who register for the meeting will be entitled to full EAPR membership in
2010. Student bursaries: the EAPR is providing a limited number of bursaries covering
registration costs (reduced price accommodation is also available, see Travel & Venue). To
apply, students should submit an abstract of their proposed paper (to be included in the
student paper competition) with confirmation of their status from their supervisor.
