National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) Symposium
NORA Symposium 2011: Achieving Impact through Research and Partnerships
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the University of Cincinnati Department of Environmental Health and Education and Research Center request abstracts for posters for the seventh National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) Symposium. It will be held at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati in Ohio, on July 12-13, 2011. The conference will convene occupational safety and health researchers, practitioners, stakeholders, and policymakers from public and private organizations to:
* Share information about innovative research and successful partnerships.
* Provide opportunities for participants to explore potential research and partnerships.
* Highlight positive impacts on workers through NORA research and partnerships.
Cross-Sector Issues
Many occupational safety and health issues are similar in different sectors. Topics may include occupational diseases and injuries (e.g., respiratory diseases and falls), exposures and events (e.g., chemicals/vapors/ particles and contact with equipment/objects), and approach (e.g., surveillance and intervention effectiveness research/evaluation).
