<!--[endif]-->This event has been organised to provide members of the public, patients and others who have an interest in under­standing Pathology, with information on how Pathology/Laboratory services influence and impact on the treatment of a patient. The morning session is designed to give an understanding of the basics of a laboratory service and how it interacts with the front line medical team treating a patient during that process. The afternoon session will discuss the impact of legislation on Pathology and how it has affected the services that laboratories provide specifically in the area of research.
