The scientific programme for Porphyrins & Porphyrias 2011will aim to cover the latest developments in the field of haem-related disorders.

The meeting will include plenary sessions with invited speakers, free Communications and poster presentations.

As with previous Porphyrins and Porphyrias meetings there will be contributions from the diverse range of professions working in the field including laboratory scientists, clinicians, molecular biologists, laboratory and clinical academics. It is our hope and expectation that at as result we will enjoy an interesting and challenging few days together.

The main meeting will start on Sunday April 10th, with a welcome reception in the evening, and will end on Wednesday April 13th. On the day after the main meeting (Thursday 14th April) there will bethree parallel meetings as follows:

• What's new in cutaneous porphyrias? An update on clinical aspects of the cutaneous porphyrias for Dermatologists.

• Porphyria patient support group meeting; a gathering of porphyria patient support groups hosted by the British Porphyria Association.

• Tetrapyrrole Discussion Group Scientific Meeting.
