Taliesin West Tour 4/16/09 10 AM - 12 PM
Frank Lloyd Wright, recognized as the 20th century's greatest architect, literally created Taliesen West "out of the desert." Visit Wright's private office, the Cabaret Cinema, Music Pavilion, Seminar Theater and Mr. and Mrs. WRight's recently renovated personal living space which are all linked by dramatic terraces, gardens and walkways overlooking the rugged sonoran desert and Valley below. Knowledgeable guides explain how the architecture relates to the natural desert and provide an overview of Wright's basic theories of design. In addition, guests will visit the dramatic Living Room and sit in Wright-designed furniture. Your guide will also provide an inspiring overview of Wright's design theories, the history of the site, and the interesting activities of the Taliesin Fellowship Community.
