ADVANCED HISTOPATHOLOGY COURSE

6-11th September 2010

A comprehensive week-long course in histopathology suitable for
Consultant pathologists and Senior Trainees in preparation for the
MRC Path examination. Each day of the course is essentially free
standing. Consultants may choose to attend one or more days but
trainees will benefit from attending the full course. The course is run
on the basis of practical approach to histological diagnosis. There will
be lectures, slide workshops, and a mock examination for trainees.

Topics include:

6th of September: Cytology and Histology of Thyroid Tumours, Salivary
Gland and Head and Neck tumours

7th of September: Dermatopathology and Soft tissue tumours

8th of September: Lymphomas and Breast pathology

9th of September: Problem-based Approach to the Diagnosis of Tumours
of the Female Genital Tract

10th of September: Gastrointestinal Pathology

11th of September: Mock Examination for trainees

Tutors include: Dr. Awatif Al-Nafussi, Dr T Brenn, Dr J Goodlad,
Dr N Shepard, Dr J Loane, Dr Sarah Johnson, Professor P Sloan .
CPD 6 credits per day
