The symposium will address the challenges in diagnosis of cutaneous carcinomas. This topic was chosen because of the many new immunohistochemical markers for diagnosis as well as the new contributions in molecular diagnosis and genetics. The objective of the program is to present unusual variants of cutaneous carcinomas, pitfalls in their diagnosis and new findings in understanding molecular pathogenesis. Participants will learn morphologic features and molecular characteristics to help differentiate unusual variants of cutaneous carcinomas from their mimickers.
