Job Description:
Performs a variety of technical procedures that result in the creation of microscopic slide preparations. These technical procedures may include: accessioning specimens; specimen processing and microtomy techniques; paraffin, frozen, and plastic. Technical staining procedures include: routine H&E, special stains, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemical staining, and in situ hybridization. Participates in on-call rotations, including weekends as needed. (002003-41625)
Basic Qualifications:
HT and/or HTL certified through the ASCP Board of Registry.
Other Qualifications:
Graduate of a NAACLS accredited or other formal histology training program preferred.
License or Certification: HT or HTL (ASCP) registered.

Schedule Details: Evenings/Nights
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $19.60 per hour.
