This one week seminar is an immersion experience in basic musculoskeletal pathology, correlated with radiographic and imaging staging techniques, histologic diagnosis, and principles of treatment covering the gamut of musculoskeletal lesions.
Dear colleague,
On the road to patient tailored medicine, breast pathology is facing a huge challenge due to new morphological, molecular, and therapeutic insights. These developments urge the pathologist not only to correlate his or her findings to imaging results and to assess tumor type, grade, and stage accurately, but also to learn how to deal with molecular (biomarker) testing. This knowledge is essential to appreciate the prognostic and therapeutic consequences of our actions and to optimize the multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
This is a comprehensive course lasting two working weeks and providing an overview of systemic histopathology. There are topic-based lectures on the pathology of individual systems and facilitated video microscopy or multiheader sessions are undertaken. These have proved extremely popular with previous attendees. In addition there are timed slide seminars in general pathology.
