    Dermatologists at the Roger Williams Medical Center treat a wide range of skin problems in children and adults, including allergies, contact dermatitis, acne, eczema, psoriasis, infection from yeast, fungus, and parasites, skin cancer including melanoma and skin lymphoma, herpes, moles and cysts, debilitating itching and drug reactions, painful and non-healing ulcers of the skin and deeper tissues, and many other important disorders.

    Diagnostic procedures include microscopic examination of skin biopsy specimens, cytological smears, patch tests, photo tests, potassium hydroxide preparations, and biological tests of skin scrapings and secretions such as fungus cultures.
